How could I go about transitioning the Raptoran to 5e?

@nice2835How could I go about transitioning the Raptoran (from Races of the Wild 3.5e) to 5e, specifically its glide feature? I'd start with the aaracockra from the Elemental Evil Players Companion. Almost looks like you can use 3.5 rule as written
