Would a fighter1/wizard6 with “archery” get a +2 to ranged spell attacks through a staff?

would a fighter1/wizard6 with the fighting style “archery” get a +2 to ranged spell attacks through a staff? :)If it says ranged attacks, yes. If ranged weapon attacks, no. I'd allow it either way in my campaign.
