What’s the proper wording for an attack with a thrown weapon?

@ChaosDingusWhat’s the proper wording for an attack with a thrown weapon? “Melee weapon attack with a thrown weapon”? "An attack with a thrown weapon"—unless the attack must be made in melee, in which case you pile on more words.
